Tinença de Benifassà and
admire the breathtaking scenery of the

town of Morella. On the way to the castle,
stop at the Basilica de Santa María
to hear the church organ.
- In the Els Ports district, taste some
authentic mountain cuisine: rabbit in
snail sauce, Lamb stew, Forcallana soup,
dried and salted meats, dishes prepared
with local truffles, marinated game. For
dessert, curds, or homemade pastries such
as the areas typical flaons.

paintings in the Valltorta ravine
(Tirig), the Remigia cave (Ares del

- Go on an outing to Sant Mateu, capital
of the Maestrazgo district, to see
some outstanding examples of Medieval
architecture. In Catí, you
might like to see an altar piece by
Jacomart.
- Walk through the woods of Vistabella
del Maestrazgo and Chodos to arrive
at the Monastery of Sant Joan de Penyagolosa.

- In Castellón de La Plana, you
can enjoy plays and concerts, and exhibits
at the Main Theatre, and the Contemporary
Art Museum and Fine Arts Museum, which
now position the city among major cultural
attractions. Play a game of golf or fly
an ultra light aircraft in Castellón
de la Plana, the capital of the province.
- Drive to Vilafamés and stroll
through the streets of this picturesque
painters' town, where you can visit the
Museum of Contemporary Art and the Wine
Museum.
- Go for a boat ride on an underground
stream in the Caves of Sant Josep, in
